We can take full responsibility for a week of music, art and dance, or work with you and your staff to offer support and the musical element of the project.
Below is a description of a recent Arts Week based on the theme of ‘Pictures’. Other themes have been 'The Sea' and 'Street Party'.
The song is called "The Impressionist Room at The National Gallery" and is about three paintings, Monet’s The Bridge (usually called Water Lilies), Van Gogh’s Wheatfield and Rousseau’s Surprise (usually called Tiger). It was especially commissioned for DaCapo.
The music is Mussorgsky’s "Pictures at an Exhibition". Mussorgsky wrote this piece to celebrate the work of an artist friend who had died before showing his collection. He said that the piece was an ‘imaginary’ visit to the show.
Specialist musicians, an artist and folk dancer join us to work with the children and the week culminates in an informal showing of the work for parents and guests.
Arts Weeks can also be 2, 3 or 4 days!
Please contact us to discuss possibilities.
